When is it this month? Tomorrow?

06.01.03 happy little trees don’t come cheap

During the holiday season, I surprised T, my artist boyfriend, watching Bob Ross on TV. For those of you playing the home game, Bob Ross is that guy with the afro and the beard, who paints landscapes in about half an hour using a trowel and a four-inch wide brush.

Anyway, we decided it might be funny to acquire one of his horrendous creations, just for the kitschiness of the thing. Turns out the guy’s company has offices in South Korea, Turkey, Holland, Japan, etc. Additionally turns out his paintings are incredibly hard to find and cost between 3000$ and 8000$.

Anyway, I thought that was weird.

06.01.03 happy new year!

Happy New Year, dear reader. May 2003 be filled with love, parties, new friends, old friends, truth, luck and happy surprises. May the economy improve, unemployment rates drop, and may the world learn moderation in all things except love.

Recap of the last two weeks:
- started off the joyful season by throwing two parties in two nights. That was fun.
- saw The Two Towers four times.
- played lots of board games with friends.
- gained back three pounds.
- reduced the amount of my furniture not from Ikea down to one piece. That one piece is not feeling very safe right now.
- my toilet blocked. T became my hero by unblocking it.
- received sets of Martini glasses from two different people. Worked on the perfect Cosmopolitan recipe. Hiccup!

I feel very happy and relaxed, and ready to start the new year. At this point I wouldn’t even mind if they sent me back to Venezuela! (don’t worry, the Cosmopolitans are sure to wear off eventually)

Mwah! to all…
