10.12.04 got the keys…
Signed the deed, closed the deal. The Fortress of Velocitude is now mine!
To all the luverly people who offered to help move: be thankful you don’t have to, for tomorrow will be a crappy moving day. There will, however, be a painting party before too long…

08.12.04 of course, doing stats for fun can’t be the problem…
According to Tristan’s statistical analysis of how hard it is to find a girlfriend, there are 18726 suitable women in the world who would like to have a relationship with you (assuming your standards are the same as his). Whoo-wee! You stallion you!
But in order to find one of them, you’d have to go on a blind date every week for the next 67 years. Doh!
(thanks Gamera)
08.12.04 you know xmas is near when…
…I have the following conversation with lightspeedmom:
LSC: So how come you’re not bugging me for a wish list this year?
LSM: No need…
LSC: Really?
LSM: Yeah, I know what you need!
LSC: I don’t want a microwave oven*, Mom.
LSM: Damn!
(*or new vacuum cleaner, or new toaster, or dirt devil, or…)
06.12.04 warp nine, mister worf
The weekend was awesome, with a big week ahead.
Friday: company 5 à 7, quick dinner with T, then drinks with MC. She made me.
Saturday: go for run, pick up car on Mont-Royal, visit lightspeeddad to get boxes (and incidentally, my Playstation), pack pack pack.
Saturday night: spend the evening in the delicious company of bloggers. After meeting at Laika, we went to La Tulipe for some 80s fun with MC, Nika, Patrick, Alex, Paolo, Sammy and NYC Pete (where are your blogs, guys?). Toine choked. Finished the evening off nicely by sharing cold, hard grilled-cheese sandwiches with Alex, whose entertaining repartee made the sub-par food worthwhile.
Spend Sunday in a sleep-deprived haze of packing. In my best move of the weekend, ditch the Ultimate Frisbee party in favor of Woody Allen, green tea and jammies. And an equally destroyed Comet.
This week: two notary visits (in Valleyfield, grr), buy fridge and stove, get winter tires on, go on another Ikea run, finish packing, and on Saturday, move into the new and improved Fortress of Velocitude!
And of course, one of my games goes Beta on Friday. Sleep is for the weak!

02.12.04 rock you like a hurricane… again
Bunch of us bloggers, along with NYC Pete, going to La Tulipe again for 80s night on Saturday. Come one, come all, the more the merrier.
