It doesn't matter what field you're in, you'll have to consume the good with the bad. You can love your career, but you'll still (at some point) have to do something you don't enjoy to advance in it. I suck it up and do it. This includes, for me, playing games I normally would not play. It means keeping up with programming strategies, and trying new ones, even though I loathe programming. It means understanding areas of business I have no interest in. But at the end of the day, if it keeps you doing what you love (and getting paid!), then it's worth it. It’s just dedication. It doesn’t matter what field you’re in, you’ll have to consume the good with the bad. You can love your career, but you’ll still (at some point) have to do something you don’t enjoy to advance in it.
