At least that’s basically what I heard this morning as my meta-boss (my boss’ boss) offered me a new position in sales. Sales, yuck. The dark side of the force. It’s more dignified being a teacher, isn’t it?

Pros:
. Money. Serious money.

Cons:
. Travel more frequent, though for shorter periods.
. Stigma of being a representative. In training, they’ve no choice but to listen, and often they want to. In sales, they’re much more defensive.
. I love teaching.
