12.04.04 owwwwwww!

Okay, this is my last complaining post. I hope.

Woke up this morning, able to walk. Nimbly caught the plane to Toronto, but couldn’t sleep on the flight because of the slight discomfort that had settled around my lower back. When I got to destination, I found it hard to pull my luggage around.

By lunch, after three hours of sitting in class, I was walking a little bent over. By end of day, I was completely hunched over, looking up to see where I’m going, with a stupidly mock-dignified “What, I’m fine!” look on my face. After checking into the hotel, I quickly returned to the front desk to ask for painkillers. Or a gun.

They had drugs but couldn’t legally share them with me. However, a kind employee empathized and volunteered to drive me to a drugstore (can you get more pathetic?). The pharmacist made me sit as he went to find the strongest stuff he had. And more Tiger Balm.

And thank God, my hotel room has a whirlpool and I managed to lower myself in its steaming waters. Later, I discovered just how difficult it is to give oneself a Tiger Balm backrub. Maybe I could just try sniffing it in lines.

UPDATE: Worse today. Saw a doctor, he gave me a Tiger Balm rub and stronger drugs. We’ll see if it helps.
