The excrement is hitting the fan as we speak in Caracas. Here in the office, everyone is gathered around the one tv set, where we just saw the national guard open fire on protesters, after which the reporters donned bullet-proof vests. I’ve been looking for a news site with pictures to link to, but I think the news is still too fresh.

Anyway, in case anyone sees anything about this on the news tonight, I just wanted to say I’m a full 400 km away from the trouble zone, so I’m feeling relatively safe.
